Concert Of Europe

The Concert of Europe,
also known as The Vienna System of International Relations,
was introduced shortly after the Congress of Vienna extinguished.
The Concert of Europe was also led by Lord Castlereagh, Klemens von Metternich, & Alexander I.
Keeping the Status Quo, or the state of political affairs before war, was the main goal of The Concert. To maintain this goal, they had to use a combination of collective action and adherence to conservatism.

Metternich
Klemens von Metternich was an Austrian State Chancellor and Foreign Minister. From the age of 36 to the age of 75, he kept his place in the Austrian government. In the Concert of Europe, Metternich was dominant and held influence in conservative manner. Metternich used the Concert of Europe to hold back the powers of Liberalism and Nationalism by using his position as a leader of the German Confederation to put a law in that stated, "Boundaries in form in 1815 could not be altered without the consent of its eight signorities"
Conservatives
Conservatives were people trying to keep the way there were in those days. They didn't want to revert back to old time ways of living, not to be confused with Reactionaries, who wanted to take things back to how they were in the past.
July Revolution
The July Revolution took place in 1830, and was the second French revolution. The July Revolution saw King Charles X being overthrown from his position of power. Charles X wanted to keep an old way of ruling, being conservative and all, but the people of France didn't want that. The people of France wanted a new leader, and this revolution brought Louis Philipe unto the throne.

REVOLUTIONS OF 1848
The Revolution of 1848 posed a challenge to the conservative order, in the form that the king, was once again overthrown. Yes, now even King Louis Philipe has been overthrown. But this time there wasn't an RKO, as he was guillotined during the Reign of Terror. Leading to the creation of the Second French Republic, conservatism would finally meet its end.
